How Microsoft Surface brought Bohn Jsell from Sketch to Runway for NYFW using N.A.bld

See Now, Buy Now, Make Now

Microsoft Surface brought emerging designer brand Bohn Jsell’s collection to life with a live streamed, shoppable runway debut at New York Fashion Week. Fifty on-site VIP guests and industry attendees (including Project Runway Allstar Mondo Guerra, Marie Claire fashion tech editor Jenna Blaha, Brit & Co, Essence magazine, singer/influencer Verite', and other bloggers and stylists) were joined by over 65K live viewers from around the country.

Viewers from around the USA shopped the collection debut live and on the runway with orders made on-demand in the USA via N.A.bld following the live runway. Products were available for purchase without any upfront inventory investment by the brand which allowed the brand to offer the full runway assortment to viewers while testing to see which products were most successful on the runway.

From Sketch to Runway to Closet

For Microsoft, this live experience was supported by video content featuring the designer John Bell as well as a NYFW in-store panel about technology’s part in the future of fashion at Microsoft’s 5th Avenue flagship store.
The runway show drove 65K live viewers with 10K concurrent viewers during the broadcast with an average view time of 5 minutes and resulted in a 500% increase in sales for the fashion brand resulting in their single highest grossing sales day.
